Switching it up this week and providing you my picks on a Thursday, so feel free to tell your boss you’re taking Friday off. I went 1-2 last week which puts me at 3-3 since I’ve come out of retirement (the Derby doesn’t count because it…was? rigged by James Comey). Anyways, I’m feeling a good weekend so lets go get it!

San Antonio Spurs (ML +210) vs Houston Rockets- Thursday 8 PM
I thought I was going to take the Rockets in this one but they were giving seven points. Then I saw the money line for the Spurs and now I’m pushing my Boxcar tokens toward the Popovich’s. May regret this one, but this series has been a weird one.
Pittsburgh Penguins (ML -220)Over Ottawa Senators – Game 1- Saturday 7 PM
Not great odds. For the new guys, -220 means if you bet $10 you win $4.54. So not knocking it out of the park, but it’s a nice nest egg to help absorb losses down the road. Only worry should be the Senators’ Erik Karlsson and his ability to make plays all over the ice. I’m betting with the Penguins every game until they’re out or win the Cup.
Stipe Miocic (-140) Over Junior Dos Santos- Saturday
Miocic is from Cleveland and they’ve been on a hot streak (hot is a relative term in Cleveland), so I don’t think you’d want to count him out. The odds in this one aren’t great, but winning is winning.
