Noah Hanifin

What A Game And What A Finish!!

In a game that saw the Canes miss on a lot of opportunities, they were able to claw back and take it in OT 2-1! The win gets Raleigh a record 13 straight games with a point and keeps them alive in the playoff race.

Quick Recap:

Canes looked a little lost most of the first period but were able to keep it at 0-0. Then in the second they got a little sharper, but former Raleigh draftee Jack Johnson tallied a score to make it 1-0. Things were looking pretty bleak in the third, then boy wonder Jeff Skinner used the whole ice and an opponents skate to put the puck in the net to tie it 1-1 with 4:20 left in period.

In overtime, the Canes were just the stronger dudes and Skinner was able to penetrate and kick out to Noah Hanifin to bury a goal on the state of Ohio.

Wild Card Rundown:

Boston wins + Islanders lose+ Lightning Win= Canes one spot out, but still four points back

Goal Of The Game:  Ummm…Noah Hanifin

What Hanifin Looked Like After Goal?:

Perspective: What an awesome few weeks this has been! Still have a ways to go and some tough opponents, but were doing what we need to do to make the playoffs. Gotta love seeing these young guys so excited!

What’s Next?: Canes play again on Saturday night against the Dallas Stars in Raleigh City. The Bruins and Lightning will also be in action that night. The Canes sit four points back with a game in hand on the Bruins. Only six games left to play boys.
