The Canes traveled to Colorado to continue their “Avenge Losses To The Two Worst Teams In The League Road Trip Presented By Linda Craft Realty”. After getting a win over the second worst team on Sunday night, they pulled into Denver to face the historically bad Avalanche. The Canes lead by Justin Faulk and Eddie Lack started the game solid, but it fall apart with two minutes to go in the second . It continued into the third with no rhythm on the offensive end and the Canes lose 3-1.
Colorado took advantage of the power play at the end of the second and then struck again less than a minute later. The Canes got swept by one of the worst teams in hockey history. Can’t win em all, but when are we going to get rebounds and score goals? So many chances with no one in front of the net.
Storm Category: Not a storm.
Goal Of The Game: Justin Faulk
At least we get free queso!
Did Bill Peters Win A Challenge?: NO
I think they don’t even review if Peters challenges. It’s an unspoken rule: If Peters is challenging it means they made the right call.
Eddie Lack O’Meter: Not bad. Didn’t lose the game because of Eddie. Lost game because we couldn’t score goals.
Guy You Want To Sock In The Face: Mark Barberio
What’s Next?: The Canes return to Raleigh to play the Rangers on Thursday night at 7 pm. Positive take-away is this is the latest I’ve started researching the draft in quite some time.
