Flames Engulf Hurricanes

Not much to report, Canes came out strong in the first period and took the lead 1-0 going into the intermission. However, they took their foot off the pedal and fall to the Flames 3-1.

Neither team looked all that impressive during the course of the game.  At one point, Ryan Murphy ripped a shot on net that would’ve counted as a goal but a defender (goalie was down for count) blocked the shot with his head. That was the end of the Canes highlights and that was in the first period. The Flames then decided they wanted it just a little bit more and and Johnny Gaudreau scored two goals to lead the Flames to victory.

Positive Note of The Game: Victor Rask

Rask had his first goal since January 13th!

Enemy of The City: Johnny Gaudreau

Why wouldn’t he be the enemy? Gaudreau scored two goal against us!

What’s Next?: Canes end their five game homestand at 1-3-1. The Hurricanes head down to Florida to play the Panthers on Tuesday and the Lighting on Wednesday
