Hey Senators! SHUT UP. Canes Win!

Where has this Canes team been the last few weeks? The second best team in the Atlantic Division, Ottawa Senators, strolled into North Carolina’s capital city and were crushed! The Canes, led by Eddie Lack and Elias Lindholm, played the type of hockey we’ve expected this whole season and got the win 3-0.

The Hurricanes were aggressive from end to end and Eddie Lack completed a shutout in his most successful game in a Canes uniform. Let me recap: Justin Faulk had a nice save, Lindholm had sick goal, and Staal got fired up! Also, how about the appearance of the Oak City Supporters? More on them later.

Storm Category: Category 4 Hurricane. All the Canes goals looked like they were playing NHL ’17. Also, they dominated a very good Senators team from beginning to end.

Goal Of The Game: Elias Lindholm

What a goal by Lindholm! What a pass from PDG!

MVP Of The Game:  Oak City Supporters (Also, Eddie Lack)

The good guys from Wake Med Soccer Park took their show on the road and let their presence be known in the PNC Arena. OCS attends a game and the Canes break a long losing streak…hmm.

They didn’t stop:

This should be a reminder that North Carolina FC starts season play on March 25th vs Miami FC at Wake Med Soccer Park. Get your tickets here.

Enemy Of The City: Dion Phaneuf aka Elisha Cuthbert’s husband

Jordan Staal gave a piece of his mind after he burned Mr. Cuthbert for the first goal of the game.

What’s Next?: The Canes cede the PNC Arena to the NC State Men’s Basketball team on Saturday, but will be back in action at home on Sunday at 3 PM vs Calgary Flames.  The victory tonight improves their record to 25-24-8.
