Canes Fall To Maple Leafs

Despite out shooting the Leafs 37-31, the Canes fall to Leafs 4-0 on Sunday night. It was a strange game, one minute we’re firing shots all over and the next we’re down two goals.

The Canes continue to look lost on the ice. Their play was an upgrade over Friday night, but still couldn’t get the puck to hit the net. This loss is a huge blow for the Hurricanes playoff chances as the Leafs were the team to beat.

Storm Category: Tropical Storm Terrible.

Newest Enemy Of The City: Connor Carrick

Connor laid a cheap shot on Victor Stalberg in the second. Luckily, Joakim Nordstorm kept him honest by sticking him into the boards. We can only tolerate so much in Raleigh…Connor sucks.

Whats Next?:

The Hurricanes drop an important game and fall further behind in the wild card race (9 pts). Also, Raleigh hasn’t won a professional sports event (Canes, NCFC, NC State Men’s Basketball) since February 3rd. C’mon this isn’t South Carolina! The Canes return to action on Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Puck drops at 7 PM.,
