HURRICANES

RECAP: Canes vs Penguins

The week started out with optimism but maybe we just needed to be knocked down a peg and know we are a good team but not great…yet. The Hurricanes played the most incomplete game of the season and racked up a loss to the Penguins 7-1.

The Canes came out firing in the first five minutes of the game but the remaining 55  minutes they looked lost. The play was so poor Bill Peters benched Jeff Skinner and Tuevo Teravainen for the entire third period.

Storm Category: Tropical Depressed

Jeff Skinner: Spent four minutes in the box in the second period for embellishment and unsportsmanlike conduct. I thought the embellishment call was a stretch but I wonder what Skinner said to get the unsportsmanlike ?

Penguins Fans: Where do they come from? How do we send them back?

Take a look at this die hard fan trying to get his hands on a Faulk shirt. He wants to be a Canes fan so bad….we get it.

What’s Next?

The Canes travel to Columbus for a Saturday night game (7 p.m.) against the Blue Jackets. Backup goalie Michael Leighton will most likely get the start. Getting a win in Ohio’s capital would be huge.
