RALEIGH’s hockey team faced off against perennial championship contender Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night and dropped a tough one, 2-1 in Chicago. The Raleigh boys threw some rubber around to the tune of 40 shots on goal but could only send one on home. Cam Ward made some excellent saves on Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, but the inability to convert on the power play and some bad luck caused the net effect to be zero points. Listen, this isn’t a loss to be upset about, the Canes played well but the puck wasn’t bouncing the Raleigh way and we came up short. If we play that way all the time then we win 80% of the time every time…so let’s roll!

Goal Of The Game: Victor Rask
We only scored one goal so this was easy BUT I will say this is how we played around the net all night.

Chicago Goal of The Game:
Don’t get used to this segment but check out the feed from Marian Hossa to Towes. Wardo didn’t have a chance!

Whats Next?: I’m sure the men of Edward’s Mill  were stuck in Chicago Friday night due to snow conditions in Raleigh, so hopefully they gassed a few beers before they came home. Other than that they come back for a big four game home stand which starts against the Bruins on Sunday night. Make sure to head out to the PNC Arena this week and Turn It Up, Leave It Up!
